Isabelle Napier is a DPhil candidate in International Relations at the University of Oxford and a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at Balliol College. She holds a BA from Yale University and an MPhil from Oxford. Her research focuses on solidarity in international politics, emphasizing marginalized voices in historical alliances across race, gender, and empire. She teaches undergraduate courses on International Relations and Cold War studies across Oxford colleges.

Research Interests: Napier explores the political thought of overlooked historical figures, particularly women and people of color, analyzing how they formed transnational alliances. Recent research includes Lady Kathleen Simon’s abolitionist activism (1927–1955) and white allyship in global politics.
