Isabelle Gassino

Isabelle Gassino is a Lecturer in the Department of Humanities at the University of Rouen Normandy, affiliated with the UFR Letters and Human Sciences. She holds a Doctorate in Greek studies and a Degree in modern Greek, specializing in Imperial Period Greek literature with a focus on Lucian of Samosata. Her research explores ancient satire, literary forms, rhetorical practices, and cultural hybridity in Greco-Roman contexts.

Her work bridges classical philology and modern literary theory, analyzing Lucian’s satirical techniques, genre experimentation, and the interplay between ancient and contemporary textual practices.
