Rostad earned his PhD in 2006 from the University of Bergen with a thesis on religious transgressions in Greek cultic regulations. His research spans ancient religious practices, including Lydian-Phrygian propitiatory inscriptions, and modern interpretations of classical myths. He is known for his translations of classical works (e.g., Hesiod’s *Theogony* and Lucian’s satires) and for engaging with public discourse on topics like Freemasonry’s cultural perception. Rostad frequently collaborates with academic and cultural institutions, delivering lectures at festivals like SPOR and appearing in media discussing ancient texts and modern conspiracy theories.
