Isabelle Doré is an Associate Professor at the School of Kinesiology and Physical Activity Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Montreal, and affiliated with the School of Public Health's Department of Social and Preventive Medicine. Her research focuses on physical activity and mental health in youth and cancer populations, using epidemiological and intervention approaches.
- Education: PhD in Public Health-Epidemiology (2016), MSc in Sociology (2007), BSc in Sociology (2005), and Postdoc in Kinesiology (2019).
Her work explores physical activity's role in mental health promotion, causal mechanisms linking activity to psychological outcomes, and interventions for cancer patients. Recent studies examine nature exposure, screen time effects, and gender-specific cancer support. She leads projects like coACTIF (physical activity prehabilitation) and SeeNAT (nature and mental health).
Key awards include the RRSPQ Best Doctoral Thesis Award (2018) and Governor General's Gold Medal Finalist (2018). She supervises PhD/MSc students in kinesiology and public health, and her grants include FRQ-S Junior Researcher Scholarships (2021-2025) and CIHR partnerships.
