Isaac G. Martinez serves as a Full Professor in the Department of Humanistic Clinical Psychology at Saybrook University, where he contributes to the Ph.D. program while maintaining a 20+ year private practice in San Antonio specializing in neuropsychological assessment, psychological testing, psychotherapy, and family therapy.
He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University (1996) and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology and geropsychology at the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center.
Dr. Martinez's research centers on developing evidence-based community mental health programs with specific focus on Hispanic populations and integrative trauma approaches. His expertise extends to geropsychology, clinical neuropsychology, and suicide prevention, notably through pioneering the first military-dependent suicide prevention program developed in collaboration with SAMHSA, Brooke Army Medical Center, and Texas state health agencies.
His clinical program designs have secured sustained funding from federal, state, local, and private entities, demonstrating significant impact in community mental health implementation and policy development.
