Iryna Loginova

Dr. Iryna Loginova is a Researcher in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Tuebingen's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, affiliated with the Geosphere-Biosphere Interactions group. She joined as a Guest Researcher/PostDoc in 2022 after prior roles at the University of Goettingen and Ukrainian institutions including the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine where she served as Lecturer/Researcher for 14 years.

Her research focuses on soil nutrient dynamics, particularly:

• Phosphorus transformation mechanisms in terrestrial ecosystems
• Rhizosphere management strategies for enhanced nutrient uptake
• Biochar interactions with soil microbiota and nutrients
• Plant phosphorus efficiency in low-fertility soils

Her publications (2012-2025) demonstrate consistent specialization in soil biogeochemistry, with recent work advancing methodologies for enzyme activity measurement and biochar applications. Research consistently intersects environmental science, agronomy, and microbial ecology.
