معرفی
Dr. Guodong Shao is a PostDoc researcher at the University of Tuebingen's Department of Geosciences, affiliated with the Geo-Biosphere Interactions (GBI) group. His research focuses on microbial metabolic processes in soils, biogeochemical cycles of carbon and nitrogen, and nutrient management strategies in agroecosystems. He holds a PhD from the University of Goettingen (2017-2022), a Master's from the Chinese Academy of Forestry (2014-2017), and a Bachelor's from China Agricultural University (2010-2014).
His work explores soil quality dynamics under land-use changes, microbial interactions with soil organic matter, and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions in agricultural systems. Current grants include DFG-funded projects on microbial metabolism and nitrogen availability impacts on carbon use efficiency.
He has contributed to studies on soil carbon sequestration, nitrogen cycling, and ecological indicators across diverse ecosystems, including mountainous regions and forested areas.
Advising and grants: PostDoc under the GBI group; recipient of the Program for the Promotion of Junior Researchers (2022–present). No awards explicitly listed in text.
Labs/teams: Active in the GBI group at Tuebingen, collaborating on interdisciplinary environmental research projects.
