معرفی
Eva Oburger is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Soil Research, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). Her research focuses on plant-soil-microbe interactions, root exudation, and their roles in soil health and crop production. She leads interdisciplinary projects integrating biogeochemistry, metabolomics, and advanced analytical techniques like mass spectrometry and chemical imaging.
- Research Themes:
- Root exudation as a driver of rhizosphere processes
- Phytosiderophore-mediated nutrient acquisition
- Soil pollution and metal biogeochemistry
- Climate change resilience in tundra and agricultural systems
- Methodological Expertise:
- Chemical imaging (DGT, planar optodes)
- Elemental and molecular mass spectrometry
- Rhizosphere metabolomics
- Field and laboratory studies
Her recent publications highlight advancements in root exudate sampling, nutrient dynamics in maize and rice, and environmental risks of metal constituents in soil. She has received notable awards, including the 2023 NÖ Wissenschaftspreis and the 2018 ERC Starting Grant. Eva supervises students in theses related to root traits, nutrient efficiency, and rhizosphere biogeochemistry, contributing to knowledge transfer through media outreach and scientific committees.
