Iryna Frankova holds dual roles as Assistant Professor at the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center and Research Associate in the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She is affiliated with the APH - Mental Health department, focusing on displaced persons' mental health. Ancillary roles include serving as a Consultant psychosocial expert at the International Criminal Court (since 2022) and Medewerker at ARQ Centrum 45 (since 2023).
Frankova earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (2019). Her research emphasizes psychosocial care for displaced populations, digital mental health interventions, and trauma response mechanisms. Key projects include the U-RISE initiative addressing Ukrainian refugees' needs and the EU4Health Programme scaling mental health services.
