Professor Iris Benöhr is a Full Professor of Law at the Southampton Law School, University of Southampton, and serves as the Director of Internationalisation. Her research focuses on International and EU Law, Competition and Consumer Law, Financial Law and Digitalisation, Business and Human Rights, and Sustainable Development, with specific projects on greenwashing and climate litigation.
- PhD and Master’s from European University Institute, Italy
- LLB from University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland
- Admitted to Zurich Bar, former legal practice in Switzerland/Belgium
Notable Collaborations and Research: She has worked as a consultant for the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Commonwealth Secretariat, and Caribbean Community. Her co-edited book Consumer Protection in Financial Services Law and Regulation (Edward Elgar, 2025) addresses financial consumer rights in the digital economy.
