Irina Grigorieva

Irina Grigorieva is a Professor of Physics at the University of Manchester, leading the Condensed Matter Physics group. Her work focuses on experimental studies of electronic and magnetic properties of layered and two-dimensional materials, including graphene and van der Waals heterostructures.

• PhD in Condensed Matter Physics (1989) at the Institute of Solid State Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences

Her research spans unconventional superconductivity, nontrivial topology, atomically thin superconductors, and ion intercalation in 2D materials. She has been a Highly Cited Researcher in physics since 2017.
