Irene Ranzato is an Associate Professor of English Language and Translation at the Department of European, American and Intercultural Studies, Sapienza University of Rome. She holds a PhD in Translation Studies (Imperial College London, 2013) and a Master of Philosophy in Translation Studies (Imperial College London, 2010). Her academic career spans over two decades, including roles as a contract lecturer and confirmed researcher since 2001.

- 2018 National Scientific Habilitation (ASN) to Associate Professor level
Teaching and Mentorship: She supervises numerous bachelor’s and master’s theses, with over 81 theses guided between 2015-2018. Her teaching integrates practical translation exercises and theoretical frameworks in AVT, British dialects, and sociolinguistic representation.
