Irene Pasquinelli is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the School of Mathematics of the University of Bristol since November 2022. Previously, she held postdoctoral positions at the Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu with Elisha Falbel and at the University of Bristol with Viveka Erlandsson.
- Research Interests: Geometric group theory, complex hyperbolic geometry, dynamics on translation surfaces, and symbolic coding of trajectories.
- Education: PhD in Geometry from Durham University (2014-2018) under John Parker, Master in Analysis, Arithmetics and Geometry from École Polytechnique, and JSPS Doctoral Fellowship at Tokyo Institute of Technology.
Her recent work focuses on complex hyperbolic lattices, non-orientable surface dynamics, and translation surface coding. She co-organizes the Geometry and Topology Seminar in Bristol. Awards include the Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship and JSPS Doctoral Fellowship. She has delivered lectures at international conferences in Italy, France, Switzerland, and Japan.
