Iona Murphy is a Lecturer in Humanities at the University of Huddersfield, affiliated with the School of Arts and Humanities and the Department of Media, Humanities and the Arts. Her research focuses on disability studies, twentieth-century poetry, Plath studies, and Queer studies.
Her recent publications explore intersections of intellectual disability and creative health, auditory experiences in poetry, normalization of queer identities in education, and ableist psychiatric frameworks in Sylvia Plath’s work.
