Ioannis Christodoulou

Dr. Ioannis Christodoulou is a Senior Lecturer in Business Strategy at Westminster Business School (University of Westminster). He serves as Deputy Research Leader for the School of Management and Marketing, Academic Coordinator for the CEMS Global Alliance initiative, and Assistant Director of the Service Research & Customer Experience Centre. His roles include advancing research income, preparing for the 2029 Research Excellence Framework (REF), and mentoring early-career researchers.

Research Interests: Focused on Middle Management, Blue Ocean Strategy, SME digital strategizing, and Strategy as Practice. He is actively involved in service innovation, cross-cultural management, and Silk Road studies through affiliations with the Service Innovation & Customer Experience Centre, Forum for Uzbek and Silk Road Studies, and Cross Cultural and Global Management group.

Teaching & Leadership: Designs and delivers MBA modules on business strategy, including an international consultancy course. Supervises postgraduate dissertations and mentors three doctoral students. Recognized for innovative teaching methods and technology integration, earning awards like 'Best Teacher' and 'Outstanding Teacher'.

Grants & Collaboration: Leads research grant applications and organizes workshops to boost the SRCE Centre’s capacity. Previously managed over 1,000 students annually in the largest WBS module, improving National Student Survey results. Engages in industry partnerships, organizing alumni events with companies like BA and BBC.

Professional Engagement: Serves as a reviewer for journals/conferences (e.g., European Journal of Management), track co-chair for Strategy as Practice (British Academy of Management), and a member of organizations like the Strategic Management Society and Cognitive Edge.
