Her research focuses on British literature for young people, particularly representations of pre-adolescents and female characters across 19th-21st century texts. - PhD Topic: 'From Irene to Coraline: Representations of the Preadolescent in Classics of British Children's Literature (1883–2002)'
- Teaching: English grammar, literary translation, and secondary education methodology
Her research highlights 'the in-between' states of pre-adolescents and explores how creative processes (craftsmanship, identity-building) shape girlhood narratives. Recent contributions include analyses of Jacqueline Wilson's Double Act and Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials. She actively participates in international conferences and editorial roles, including moderating the Grow Reading Group for young scholars.
Professional service includes jury work for academic certifications and logistical support for international conferences on children's literature adaptations. She maintains affiliations with organizations like the International Research Society for Children’s Literature (IRSCL) and the Society of Americanists of Higher Education (SAES).
