Insa Lawler

Insa Lawler is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). She holds a Dr. phil. from the University of Duisburg-Essen, an M.A. from Bielefeld University, and a B.A. in Philosophy and Linguistics from Bielefeld University. Her research focuses on the intersection of philosophy of science and epistemology, particularly addressing questions about scientific understanding, explanatory knowledge, the nature of why-questions, and progress in science and philosophy. She also explores semantics, analyzing non-declarative sentences and multi-modal meaning interactions.
