Prof. Dr. Ingo Uhlig is an Adjunct Professor at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Faculty of Philosophy II, German Studies Institute) and holds the 50Hertz Guest Lecturer position for 'New Energy Systems and Energy Cultures' at the Technical University of Berlin. His work bridges Environmental Humanities, Energy Cultures, and Contemporary Literature/Art, focusing on the cultural dimensions of energy transitions and climate crises.
- Education: MA in Philosophy, Sociology, Anglistics, and Ethnology (Dresden/Bayreuth, 2001); PhD in Media Culture (Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, 2005, funded by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung)
- Research Focus: Energy Transition narratives, Enlightenment's impact on modern cultural discourses, interdisciplinary intersections of literature, art, and environmental ethics
His recent publications include Energiewende erzählen (2023) and Sun, Wind & Wires: Atlas of an Energy System in Transition (2023). He co-edits the SuzAnNa Magazine (2024), exploring sufficiency and sustainability aesthetics. Current projects involve collaboration with IKEM (Climate Protection, Energy, and Mobility) and TU Berlin's Institute for Philosophy, History of Literature, Science, and Technology.
