Prof. Dr. Ingela Tietze is a Professor of Sustainable Energy Management at Pforzheim University. Previously, she held a professorship in SME Management, Energy Management, and Energy Technology at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences. She specializes in sustainable energy systems, resource efficiency, and interdisciplinary energy concepts. Her work integrates technical, economic, and environmental aspects. Key projects include the DBU-funded 'InPEQt' project on decentralized energy systems and the BMWi-funded 'InNOSys' project evaluating energy systems' sustainability. She is also Prorektorin für Nachhaltigkeit und Studierendengewinnung at Pforzheim University.
Education: Dr. rer. pol. (2005) from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Diplom (2001) in Brewing and Beverage Technology from TU Munich.
Research focuses on energy economics, eco-design of energy/material flows, and climate-neutral corporate energy supply. Current projects emphasize integrated planning of decentralized systems for sustainable urban development. She has extensive industry experience, including roles at Lahmeyer International and Evonik Degussa, advising on energy procurement and emissions trading.
Active in academic leadership: Member of Technical Review Committee at NREL, reviewer for International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education, and jury member for energy efficiency awards. She leads the 'IRMa' project on resource efficiency in SMEs and contributes to policy-oriented research.
