Ingela Johansson is a Senior Lecturer in Spanish Studies at the Centre for Languages and Literature, Lund University. She holds administrative roles as Head of Section (Section 3) and Chairperson of the Board of Section 3, while also serving on the Centre's main Board. Her teaching spans Spanish language literature, didactics, and translation at all academic levels.
Research focuses on literary transmission between Spanish-speaking regions, Greece, and Sweden, including translation flows and mediation. She collaborates with Marianna Smaragdi on projects analyzing cross-cultural translations of protest songs and book covers of Swedish crime fiction in multiple languages. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals through intercultural dialogue.
