معرفی
Ingeborg Lang is an Associate Professor and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Vienna. She holds a position in the Department of Functional and Evolutionary Ecology. Her research focuses on plant and fungal biodiversity, particularly in bryophytes, with an emphasis on heavy metal tolerance mechanisms, environmental stress responses, and functional ecology. She teaches courses such as Functional Ecology, Plant Ultrastructure, and Developmental Biology of Plants.
Her research explores how plants and mosses adapt to abiotic stresses like metal toxicity and drought, using advanced microscopy and proteomics techniques. Recent studies include allelopathic interactions in mosses and the structural changes in plant tissues under stress. She actively contributes to interdisciplinary projects, such as the 'Sonne - Motor des Lebens' initiative, integrating ecological and pedagogical approaches.
Her publications span from 2015 to 2025, covering topics like metal uptake in mosses, endocytosis in carnivorous plants, and plasmolysis dynamics. Teaching responsibilities include seminars on biodiversity, ecology, and botany, reflecting her commitment to both research and education.
