Inge Govaere is a Professor of EU Law and Director of the Ghent European Law Institute (G.E.L.I.). She serves as Director of the European Legal Studies Department at the College of Europe in Bruges. Her academic career includes a PhD from the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy, and visiting roles at institutions such as Columbia University, Yale University, and Cambridge University. Her research focuses on EU external relations law, Rule of Law dynamics, internal market frameworks, and intellectual property rights.

Her work bridges constitutional democracy debates, better regulation agendas, and the intersection of EU law with international legal systems.
