معرفی
Dr. Inga Ennen is a researcher at Bielefeld University's Faculty of Physics, working within the Thin Films & Physics of Nanostructures department. She specializes in advanced transmission electron microscopy techniques for nanoscale material analysis.
Her research focuses on the interplay between microstructure and magnetic properties of materials, with particular emphasis on spin-dependent electronic transport in thin films and nanostructures. Using state-of-the-art TEM-based techniques, she investigates stress-coupled thin film systems in combination with martensitic phase transitions and studies the switching behavior of nanostructured magnetoresistance sensors through combined magnetic imaging and micromagnetic simulations.
Dr. Ennen's methodology integrates high-resolution TEM imaging with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS/EFTEM), chiral electron energy loss dichroism (EMCD), differential phase contrast (DPC), and Lorentz microscopy to obtain comprehensive material characterization.
She completed her doctorate at Bielefeld University and worked as a research assistant at Vienna University of Technology from 2009 to 2011, where she explored new EELS techniques for measuring magnetic spin and orbital moments. Since 2012, she has been with the Thin Films and Physics of Nanostructures group, focusing on applying modern TEM techniques to interdisciplinary research questions while handling sample preparation and electron microscope maintenance.
