معرفی
Ines Subota is a Research Fellow at the University of Würzburg's Department of Cell and Developmental Biology within the Biocenter. She holds a Dr. rer. nat. from Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (2011) and a Dipl. biol. from LMU Munich (2006). Her research focuses on the molecular cell biology of trypanosome life cycles, particularly stage differentiation mechanisms and signal perception. She established Germany's first tsetse fly insectary for trypanosome infection studies and currently coordinates quality management for the facility.
Key educational milestones include her doctorate at Institut Pasteur (Paris, 2007–2011) and postdoctoral work at Würzburg (2011–2017). Her work bridges basic research with applied techniques like advanced microscopy and proteomics. Current projects involve identifying the molecular nature of the stumpy induction factor (SIF) in collaboration with the Biocenter's metabolomics team.
Her contributions include groundbreaking discoveries on ALBA proteins' role in trypanosome differentiation and flagellar protein dynamics. Teaching activities include laboratory management and mentoring PhD students through insectary-based research projects.
