Ina Patel

Ina Patel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in breast and lung cancer, as well as general hematology and oncology. She is affiliated with the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center and Moncrief Cancer Institute.

• Education: Medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine; undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from University of Chicago.

Her research interests include cancer care with a focus on patient- and family-centered approaches and clinical research trials. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and joined UTSW faculty in 2020.

Dr. Patel is actively involved in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students. She is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and American Osteopathic Association.
