Ina Bergheim

Ina Bergheim is a Professor at the Department of Nutritional Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Vienna. Her research focuses on the interplay between intestine and liver in metabolic liver diseases, molecular mechanisms of ageing, and nutrition's impact on immune responses. She leads projects on MASLD, ALD, and age-related organ damage, employing translational approaches to bridge basic science and clinical applications.
