Dr. Imran Afgan is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The University of Manchester and an Associate Professor at Khalifa University of Science and Technology. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from GIKI Pakistan (1999) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (LES and Turbulence Modelling) from UMIST (2007). His research focuses on computational fluid dynamics, turbulence modeling, renewable energy systems, and thermal hydraulics. He leads the Thermal Power and Fluids Engineering group and has contributed to projects like the ORE Hub and ESSENTIAL. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to affordable and clean energy.
