Iman Al Nassre is a Research Assistant and doctoral candidate at the University of Münster, participating in the Cluster of Excellence and Graduate School under Research Field B: Religious Diversity and Legal-Political Unity. She is affiliated with Project B3-45 on Democratic Legitimacy of Strategic Litigation in the Context of Religion.
Education:
- Master of Arts in Social Sciences (MAPSS), University of Chicago (2020–2022)
- Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy & Religious Studies, Freie Universität Berlin (2017–2020)
Her research centers on legal mobilization by Christian Right groups in the U.S. and Europe, examining intersections of religious policy, secular courts, and hegemony through materialist legal theory and feminist frameworks. She investigates strategic litigation around migration, diaspora, and religious diversity, with focus on how Christian hegemony operates within secular legal systems.
