Ilkka Arminen is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Social Sciences, affiliated with the Helsinki Institute of Urban and Regional Studies (Urbaria). His work bridges sociology with studies of technology, migration, and health. He leads projects on alcohol/substance abuse policy and urban development challenges.
