Ilie Parvu is a distinguished Professor at the Department of Theoretical Philosophy and Logic, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest, where he has worked since 1990. A leading figure in the Romanian school of analytical philosophy, his academic journey began with studies in philosophy (1959-1964) and mathematics (1964-1967) at the University of Bucharest, culminating in a PhD in Philosophy in 1973. He has held visiting professorships at institutions like the University of Paris-X and contributed to international societies such as the Goedel Society and the Kant Society.
