Dr. Igor Petković is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of East Sarajevo, specializing in Criminal Law. He has been employed there since 2006, holding positions including Senior Assistant (2012) and Assistant Professor (2021). He teaches Criminal Law I/II, International Criminal Law, and Comparative Criminal Law.
Education: LL.B. (2002), Master's in Criminal Law (2012), Ph.D. in Tax Evasion/Fraud (2021).
Research interests focus on criminal law frameworks, tax evasion, judicial accountability, and legal reform dynamics. His work bridges theoretical legal analysis with regional legislative practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Publications emphasize modern challenges in criminal justice systems and legislative evolution since the 2003 reforms. He has contributed to international conferences and peer-reviewed journals.
Languages: Fluent in English and German. Deputy head of the Department of Criminal Justice.
