Igor Milinković is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he teaches Theory of State and Law, Legal Ethics, and Bioethics across all three academic cycles. His research critically examines judicial systems, constitutional law, and bioethical challenges within the Bosnian legal framework, with particular focus on human dignity and emerging technologies.
His scholarly work spans Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Judicial Ethics, and the legal implications of artificial intelligence and genetic engineering. He investigates how legal systems navigate posthumous reproduction, commercial surrogacy, and pandemic responses, consistently linking theoretical frameworks to practical Bosnian contexts while engaging with international legal philosophy.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals a dominant focus on judicial reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including amendments to the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council and freedom of expression for judges. Concurrently, he explores bioethical frontiers like the One Health approach and posthumous dignity, demonstrating how legal theory must evolve alongside technological advancements.
Professor Milinković maintains active academic engagement through daily consultations at his office (room 55, first floor) and regular scholarly output, though specific details about student advising or grant funding remain unpublicized in available sources.
