Professor Igor Goncharov holds the position of Professor of Accounting and Doctoral Programmes Director at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS). Previously, he served as Assistant Professor at the University of Amsterdam and Professor of Financial Accounting at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. His research focuses on the economic consequences of financial reporting and fair value accounting across firms, investment companies, and central banks. He has published extensively in top journals such as Journal of Accounting Research and The Accounting Review, and serves as Associate Editor of Accounting and Business Research.
