Ignacio López Goñi

Ignacio López Goñi is a Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Navarra. His research focuses on microbiology and parasitology, particularly bacterial pathogenesis and infectious diseases. He is also involved in the 'Science Communication' research group.

He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Navarra in 1989 with a thesis titled "Effect of Iron Deficiency on the Growth, Siderophore Production, and Outer Membrane Composition of Brucella abortus and Brucella melitensis." His work spans molecular biology, public health, and science communication.
