Ignacio García

Ignacio García is a distinguished horn player and professor at the University for Music and Drama in Rostock, where he has held an honorary professorship since 2022. He has been a core member of the Staatskapelle Berlin as a solo horn player and taught at its Orchestra Academy since 1997. From 2004 to 2012, he was a professor of horn at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Seville. His career spans over 20 years of teaching globally, including masterclasses in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He has collaborated with renowned orchestras like the Berlin Philharmonic and Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and served as a mentor for the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra (2002–2010).
