Dr. Ignace Hooge is an Associate Professor at Utrecht University's Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, specializing in Experimental Psychology. His research focuses on cognitive psychology, eye tracking, and vision science, with particular emphasis on visual attention mechanisms and human-computer interaction. He has developed innovative tools like gazeMapper for analyzing gaze data and contributed to cross-cultural studies on gaze behavior in social interactions.
Hooge holds multiple teaching awards including Docent van het jaar (2011-2015) and has supervised over 8 research projects.
