Ichamati Mousamputri is a PhD researcher funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), UKRI, under the Northern Ireland and North East Doctoral Training Partnership. She is affiliated with the School of Geography, Politics and Sociology at Newcastle University, conducting research within the Department of Geography. Her work focuses on political geography, critical geopolitics, and militarization in South Asia, particularly India. She teaches undergraduate courses such as GEO1010: Interconnected World and GEO2103: Development and Globalisation.

- M.A. in Human Geography Research, Newcastle University (2022-2023)
Research interests include right-wing politics, ethno-nationalism, state violence, and the role of universities in political agendas. Her current project explores Hindutva nationalism in Indian universities through ethnographic methods, addressing militarization, resistance, and campus politics.
Publications include work on Israel's war on Gaza and far-right influences in academia. She has presented at conferences like the Royal Geographical Society-IBG Annual Conference (2024). Awards include the Best overall performance in MA Human Geography Research (2022-23).
Teaching and research intersect with feminist and decolonial methodologies, emphasizing social justice and demilitarization movements.
