Ibrahima Ly

Professor Ibrahima Ly is a faculty member at the Faculty of Law, Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar, Senegal. He serves as Director of the Laboratory for Studies and Research in Policies, Law of the Environment and Health (LERPDES) since 2010, following leadership roles at CREDILA (2007-2010) and as Head of the Department of Public Law and Political Science (1999-2007).

Prof. Ly's research focuses on environmental and health law, with expertise in African legal frameworks for environmental governance, marine and coastal law, and nuclear safety regulation. His work connects legal theory with practical policy implementation.

He co-authored a 2016 publication on Senegal's marine and coastal environmental law with IRD editions. His research team at LERPDES contributes to the PADDLE Project in collaboration with IRD Brest.
