Fatou Ndiaye

Fatou Ndiaye serves as a Tutor in the Department of Environmental Law at the Université Virtuelle du Sénégal (UVS) while pursuing her PhD at Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD), where she is affiliated with the Laboratory for Studies and Research in Policy, Environmental and Health Law (LERPDES).

Her academic qualifications include:

• Master of Advanced Studies (Master 2) in Environmental and Health Law from UCAD
• Master in Business Law (Maîtrise en Droit des Affaires) from UCAD

Her research centers on Environmental Law, with emphases on corporate compliance with environmental norms, Senegalese marine/coastal legal frameworks, and mining regulations. She co-authored the collective manual Marine and Coastal Environmental Law in Senegal, contributing critical analyses of classified installations law for marine protection, port law integration, and mining law. Her work extends to tropical environmental challenges through the Horizon 2020-Marie Curie-RISE project Planning in a Liquid World at the Laboratory of Marine Environment Sciences (LEMAR).

As a LERPDES member, she engages in interdisciplinary environmental policy research, while her UVS tutoring role focuses on delivering Environmental Law instruction. Her scholarly trajectory bridges academic theory and practical legal implementation in Senegal's ecological context.
