Professor Ian O'Hara is Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), leading strategic initiatives in bioeconomy development. He holds roles as Queensland's Biofutures Industry Envoy and Senior Editor of the EFB Bioeconomy Journal. His research focuses on biofuels, biorefining, and sustainable biomass processing, with expertise in techno-economic analysis and industrial biotechnology.
Education: PhD (QUT), MBA (Deakin University), BEng (University of Queensland). Professional memberships include MIEAust (CPEng) and Australian Society of Sugar Cane Technologists.
