Professor Ian Loveland is a distinguished academic at City, University of London, where he holds the position of Professor of Public Law in the School of Law. He has a long-standing academic and professional engagement with constitutional and public law, specializing in British, US, Canadian, and Australian constitutional systems, as well as English housing and human rights law. With a career spanning decades, he has held previous academic appointments at Brunel University and Queen Mary College, and has served as a Junior Research Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford. He is also a practicing barrister, having appeared in the High Court and Court of Appeal, and frequently contributes as an expert witness and media commentator.
