Ian Fussell is a Professor at the University of Exeter's College of Medicine and Health, affiliated with the Department of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences. He has worked as a clinician and GP partner in Cornwall for over 20 years, currently practicing in the Emergency Department at Royal Cornwall Hospital. His roles include Associate Dean for Education (since 2019) and Associate Pro Vice Chancellor for Education (since 2022), with a focus on medical education and institutional leadership.

His research and professional interests bridge Medical Humanities, Emergency Medicine, and Planetary Health.
