Ian F. Parney

Dr. Ian F. Parney is a Professor of Neurosurgery and Vice Chair for Research at the Department of Neurologic Surgery, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He holds a joint appointment in the Department of Immunology and serves as Mayo Clinic Enterprise Chair for Neurosurgery Research. He is affiliated with the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine Admissions Oversight Committee and multiple national neurosurgical organizations.

Education: MD and PhD from the University of Alberta, postdoctoral training at UCSF Brain Tumor Research Center. Specializes in malignant brain tumor surgery, immunotherapy development, and neuro-oncology clinical trials. Active in education, supervising students, residents, and fellows.
