Ian Ayres is the Oscar M. Ruebhausen Professor of Law at Yale Law School, and holds concurrent professorships at Yale School of Management and Yale School of Public Health (Health Policy). He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from MIT (1988), J.D. from Yale Law School (1986), and B.A. in Russian Studies and Economics from Yale University (1981). His research bridges law, economics, and public policy, with notable work on gun violence prevention, AI regulation, consumer protection, and behavioral economics.
