Iain McGowan

Iain McGowan is a Senior Lecturer (Education) at Queen's University Belfast's School of Nursing and Midwifery. His research focuses on trauma therapy mechanisms, particularly Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mental health interventions for emergency workers, and psychosocial stress in parenting. Collaborations include studies on PTSD in parents of neonatal intensive care infants and remote EMDR therapy efficacy during the pandemic.
