I. Grossmann

I. Grossmann is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology, Policy and Management at Delft University of Technology. Originally a medical doctor and surgeon, Grossmann transitioned to a full-time academic career in 2021, focusing on Safety in Healthcare. He maintains part-time clinical work in emergency care (since March 2023) to stay connected to the healthcare domain.

• Education: Medicine (MD, cum laude) from Universiteit van Amsterdam (2000); Doctorate in Colorectal Cancer Research from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (2011).
• Clinical Training: General Surgery (2004–2010), Oncological Surgery (2010–2012), Intensive Care (2012–2014).
