Hürcan Asli Aksoy is a Research Fellow at the University of Tübingen and the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. She specializes in democratization theories, gender politics, and Middle Eastern studies, with a focus on Turkey and Iran. Her work examines the role of civil society organizations and women’s movements in political processes.
Education:
- PhD in Political Science (2014) from University of Tübingen, thesis: "En gendering Democracy in Turkey: Participation and Inclusion of Women's Civil Society Organizations under AKP Rule"
