Ahmed Maati is a PhD candidate, research associate, and junior lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. He is affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and the Schlumberger Team. His research focuses on identity and comparative politics of the Middle East, theories of the state, and digital politics.
Maati holds a Master’s degree in Comparative and Middle East Politics and Society (CMEPS) from a joint program between the American University in Cairo and Tübingen University. He has taught courses such as Scrutinizing the State, Comparative Politics of the Middle East, and Political Islam, emphasizing practical and theoretical approaches to political systems.
He has been actively involved in the Schlumberger Team, contributing to academic projects and activities. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with contemporary issues in Middle Eastern governance and digital political dynamics.
