Hyunjung Kim is a PhD candidate at the School of Business and Management, Queen Mary University of London, investigating intersections between environmental and labor governance in global value chains within Korean and Taiwanese distant water fisheries. Supervised by Dr. Liam Campling and Dr. Elena Baglioni.

- BSc with Honours in International Development Studies, York University, Canada
- BSc in Sociology and Philosophy, Yonsei University, South Korea
Research Focus: Hyunjung’s work examines the political-economic dynamics of multi-scalar stakeholder engagements (states, corporations, NGOs) in transnational value chain governance. Their research addresses environmental decline and labor exploitation in natural resource industries.
Membership: Affiliated with the Centre on Labour and Global Production (CLGP).
