Hunter Overton

Hunter Overton is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Advertising/Public Relations at the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications, Pennsylvania State University. He holds a graduate certificate in Business Analytics from Penn State's Smeal College of Business, an MBA from the University of South Carolina, and a bachelor’s in Business and Advertising from Pace University.

Before academia, Overton spent nearly two decades in industry roles including Director of Technical Operations at Advanced Video Group (focusing on digital advertising and niche clientele targeting) and business analytics leadership at Avail Technologies (forecasting material demand via data analysis). He also served in the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard, performing ceremonial duties for Arlington National Cemetery, presidential events, and as part of the USAF Drill Team.

His expertise spans business operations optimization, data-driven strategies, and military leadership. He currently advises on integrating industry practices into academic curricula.
